The minimum age requirement to participate is 18 years of age.
If your team cannot attend your scheduled game, this will result in a forfeit and the opposing team will be declared the winner by default.
If a team knows in advance that they will be forfeiting a game, they are to notify the league and the opposing team's captain.
Registered team captains can add players to their team by following the steps outlined below.
- Log into your TeamSnap profile.
- If you are registered with multiple teams in TeamSnap, you must select your desired BSL Team.
- Select “Roster” from the upper menu.
- Select “Add” in the upper left of the page
- Select “(+Player)”
- Fill out the player’s personal and contact information. Ensure there is a green checkmark beside the “Invite To Join” option at the bottom of the page before selecting “Save”.
- Ensure your team members receive and accept the email invitation and sign-up for TeamSnap access so they can access game schedules and other important updates.
Registered participants can access their schedule by following the steps below:
Desktop TeamSnap Version:
- Log into your TeamSnap profile.
- When on the TeamSnap Dashboard page, select your desired team.
- You will be taken to your team’s home page. Select “Schedule” along the top menu.
- Your schedule will then be displayed.
Tip: Make sure you don’t miss out on any upcoming games by enabling email notifications.
TeamSnap Mobile App Version:
- Log into your TeamSnap profile.
- Once logged into TeamSnap, select your desired team.
- You will be taken to your team’s home page. Select “Event” in the upper menu.
- Scheduled games will appear in chronological order.
When you want to play, but do not have enough players to form your own team, you can register as an individual or “free agent”. Individual registrants will be put together to form a team or placed on an existing team that does not have enough players.
The schedule will be released no later than the Friday prior to the league's start date.
Games take place on designated weeknights at the Save Max Sports Centre located at Sandalwood Parkway and Dixie Road, with start times ranging between 7 to 10 pm.
Team rosters must be submitted before the first game of the season. Any changes to the roster must be completed before the start of the third game of the season. If injuries occur or there are extenuating circumstances, the League Administrator will make a final decision regarding adding players to the roster once the season has started. Players must have participated in 50% of regular season games to be eligible for playoffs.
The BSL is recreational and appropriate for players seeking continued growth in their sport while forming valuable social relationships within the community. As the league develops, league levels may divide into different divisions and tiers of competition.
Yes, championship teams will receive a prize at the end of the season.
